FIRST LOOK: Tachi Palace unveils major hotel room renovations

LEMOORE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) — The Tachi Palace Casino Resort has unveiled the state-of-the-art renovations that have been done to its hotel rooms.

The first phase of renovation has been completed on the second floor of the hotel, which will be open to the public on Wednesday 17 November.

During a media tour, the company gave a first look at the renovations, including replacing carpeting in the main living areas and new tiling in the entryways.

Flat screen televisions and additional USB charging ports have also been added to all hotel rooms.
Some of the new features include special high-tech touches, especially in the bathrooms.

Side-by-side photos of a bathroom door in a Tachi Palace hotel room show the special privacy glass in action.

A special switchable glass has been installed, allowing customers to see inside the bathroom when turned off, and change to a frosted look when turned on.

“We have the state-of-the-art bathroom with smart glass technology, so the bathrooms are all surrounded by glass, and you press a button, everything smokes automatically,” explained general manager Michael Olujic.

“We did some really cool things representing the community baskets with actually cattle hide leather and laser etched basketwork and Tule. We really have all the tech features with all the USB plug-ins.
