SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – MGM Springfield now has its hotel open an additional day as they continue to work to return to normal operations.
Since June you can book a hotel room from Friday to Monday, and now Thursday is also an option. It’s because they finally get vacancies, but as their hospitality manager pointed out, they’re having more success with that on the hotel side.
“We are starting to see a lot of demand coming back specifically from the casino side and also from the catering and conference side, as we reopen our amenities. This is likely a key part of our reopening strategy,” said Abe Berry, MGM Springfield vice president, Hospitality.
Berry said you should have no problem finding an available room, despite the limited staff at the moment. He also added that they always provide guests with dog-friendly rooms, equipped with dog snacks and water bowls.
As for restaurants, Chandler’s is still operating with reduced hours. Costa won’t be able to reopen until they hire more restaurant workers.
